United Kingdom Latin American History Network
We are a network of historians of Latin America working in the United Kingdom. We are an informal grouping that provides visibility and community for our members. We are open to everyone researching or teaching Latin American history in the UK.
Our mission is to raise the profile of Latin American history in the UK, moving it from the neglected margins to its rightful place in dialogue with and as an integral part of the mainstream of historical debate in classrooms, institutions and the media.
We will share resources, promote collegiality and lobby research and education institutions to take Latin American history seriously. We will work in partnership with established seminar programmes in Latin American history, providing a central hub for activity, promoting collaboration and creating new links that will catalyse research.
